My
imagination and creativity has grown. I have learnt how to handle
various materials. NIFT & NID could be coached on different days
and not clubbed together.

NIFT
and NID IGP programs should be separate. It should have been few
more days before the situation test.

NIFT
& NID people would not like to do projects of the other institute
as it wastes time. It should be held much better venue.

Fedback
from IGP Program at Banglore - April 2005. |
|
|
| |
I
was able to gain knowledge on working with various materials and
about the kind of lines along which I need to think, to come up
with a good designs. I realized my flaws and found ways to correct
them. AFD could bring in an additional faculty, who can explain
in a more detailed manner on the various handwork. It was a great
experience to do things in this workshop. Was able to realise
my caliber and fidge myself.

With
the help of this workshop, I now, know how to face a situation
test and interview. I got a clear idea about the test I will face.
I got many instructions to make good my models. It will be better
if the class last for a month. I learnt to fine tune my highly
limited skills. It has changed my perception about a situation
and how to use this to implement better design. The only regret
I have is that I couldn't learn ways to improve my limited creative
skills. Make it a bit more longer so that the student will get
maximum benefit from it. It was a good preparatory course, I learnt
a lot about myself and my designing skills.

I
actually found out what to expect for the situation test. I got
experience in actually working with my hands and making models,
even ones that actually works. It taught me to think out of the
box and expand my mind. It taught me to analyze my own work as
well as and how to improve it. I don think the workshop lack in
any thing. Needs More or better materials and no home-works. It
was a really good experience & totally fun.

From
the interview point of view, I learnt I had to read up a lot.
I gained more confidence. I have learnt to face an interview with
grace, charm and style. From the practical training point of view,
I learnt to put in more ideas to implementation and my craft works
are turning out to be better. The duration could certainly be
longer. All in all, the course was excellent and fun.

The
strengths of IGP: 1. Ability to think more than the technical
view(more towards the design view)
2.Relief from my usual strenuous college
3.Fun
The course was more than satisfactory. I guess the IGP could go
on for a little longer a time. I really think we could have some
refreshments around.

Confidence(That
says it all!) Maybe if the duration was more ,we could have got
trainning in the kind in the materials we used.It was great ,may
be the no. of hours could be extended to say 5 days. It was a
real IGP ,specially after the 1 hr i spent with Ms.Julie James
abt my portfolio and the mock interview i attended,I m feeling
very lighter with all confidence to go for the interview.

I
got a midst of the questions asked in the studio test, and was
able to practice and try it out, too. Also I was exposed to other
people's ideas.

Now I know what sort of designs to expect from others, so I can
improve my pattern of thinking. In my opinion it should be a longer
program, so that more questions can be covered.

Given more
practice. Weak points should not just be told, but improved
also. I came to know many new ideas,, many new techniques to
make my workshop good and most of all time management.

May
it must be carried out in a better place with more facilities
and it should also be for a longer duration.

Actually,
I belong to a small district Hariyana. Since no one from my background
is related to designing, so this workshop helped me a lot. I had
no idea as to what is asked in situation test but now I know.

Actually
4 days class very less. In this time she could only explain
what to do. She could make us practice and teach us to perfection.
Time should be increased.
