| ELIGIBILITY FOR BACHELOR PROGRAMMES - DESIGN |
| B.Des. : Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
or
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
or
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.
or
A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.
or
3 or 4-years diploma recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.
Please note that the upper age limit for applying in bachelor programmes is restricted to 23 years as on 1st November, 2008.

| B.FTech.: Apparel Production
The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
or

or

| M.F.M. : Master of Fashion Management
A three years Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities or Diploma in Accessory / Fashion Design / FIT from NIFT only.
For foreign Bachelor’s Degree, not recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, proper certification by a National Body constituted in the country concerned for granting equivalence will have to be produced.

B.A. (Fine Arts) or B.Sc. (Textiles & Clothing)
or
B.Arch.
or
Design Diploma/ Degree from NIFT/NID only.
Candidates having relevant industry experience in areas of Fashion/ Textile/ Communication Design would be preferred.
* If a candidate possessing Graduation Degree in any discipline applies for the course, then he/she has to compulsory undergo 2 months (i.e. 8 weeks) training programme to develop the desired skills before taking on the course itself.

| IMPORTANT NOTE
Candidates appearing for their qualifying examinations can also apply. Their admission, however, will be provisional and subject to obtaining the defined eligibility by 30th June, 2009. Proof of the candidates having successfully passed the qualifying examination will have to be produced at the time of joining the programme. In case, candidates do not produce the required documents by 30th June, 2009, their admission will be cancelled and 50% of the tuition fee will be refunded. |
Admission Process
All candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance tests. Candidates for the design programs will undergo a Creative Ability Test and a General Ability Test. Technology and Management students will undergo a Managerial Ability test and General Ability Test.

Demand Draft:
You will need to provide certain details from the DD at the time of online submission of application form. You must have the Demand Draft ready before filling up the application form.

If You belong to General/OBC Category, you are required to obtain a Demand Draft for Rs.1250/- drawn in favour of 'National Institute of Fashion Technology' payable at New Delhi, before submission of the Application.

If You belong to SC / ST or a Person with Disabilities, you are required to obtain a Demand Draft for Rs.750/- drawn in favour of 'National Institute of Fashion Technology' payable at New Delhi , before submission of the Application.

If You are applying under Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NRI category, you are required to obtain a Demand Draft for US $100/- drawn in favour of 'National Institute of Fashion Technology' payable at New Delhi, Indiabefore submission of the Application.
Affix your passport size photograph in the space provided and attach the demand draft of requisite amount with the application. On the back of Demand Draft please fill the following details
