Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology was founded in 1996 by the Ujwal Trust with the objective of providing art and design education in an environment of creativity and maximizing individual potential. Srishti’s inter-disciplinary approach helps promote self-initiated learning and independent thinking, while expanding perceptual perspectives and developing artistic vocabularies. Courses are taught by industry-experienced faculty and the curriculum is built on a broad based liberal arts foundation. Courses offered

2 Years Foundation UG Program

This program provides a foundation in art & design studies and skills . Students can choose to specialize after two years of Foundation Program for the Srishti undergraduate Professional Diploma Program

Eligibility : 10 + 2 in any discipline

• Visual Communication Design
• Textile Design
• Product & Interface Design
• Furniture & Interior Design

Eligibility : 2 or more years of undergraduate education in design, fine/applied art, architecture or related fields or comparable work experience.

2 ½ Years Advanced PG Diploma Programs

• Experimental Media Arts
• Design in Education
• Animation & Visual Effects
• Game Design

Eligibility: Graduates in Technology/Computing, Fine/applied art, music, design, architecture, film/animation, education or with comparable work experience & sound portfolios may apply for these postgraduate level interdisciplinary diploma programs.

To enter into the Foundation Studies program the candidate must qualify in an entrance test.

The entrance test is an aptitude test. It tests the students on logical thinking, drawing & colour skills, visualization skills and language skills. Candidates who qualify in the entrance test must then appear for a portfolio review & interview in Bangalore. The portfolio is used to assess a candidate’s talent, interests, prior training, motivation and self-discipline.

Please submit the following documents with the form:

1. A Demand Draft favouring "Srishti" for Rs.1000 (non-refundable processing fee), payable at Bangalore, with your name clearly written on the reverse.
2. Open reference forms fully completed and signed by the referee (two references required).
3. Copies of your most recent mark sheets / transcripts.
4. Two recent colour passport size photos
5. Personal statement (as mentioned earlier)

Important Dates for Foundation Studies Program

• Last date for receiving all applications, online & mailed, and receipt of DD: March 10th
• Entrance Tests for Foundation to be held at specified centers: April 6th Sunday Applicants who are sitting for their CBSE exam on April 5th may be unable to write the Srishti entrance tests on April 6th if they do not reside at the designated centres. They must send a letter to Srishti formally requesting that they be allowed to take the entrance test in Bangalore on May 5th, 2008. They must also send in a scanned copy of their CBSE hall ticket and bring the original CBSE hall ticket as proof when they sit for the exam in Bangalore.
• Entrance results to be announced: April 17th
• Portfolio reviews & interviews for Foundation and Direct Entry: May, 5th, 6t, 7th
• 2nd Round of Portfolio reviews & interviews ONLY FOR IB students: May 17th
• Results from both the Portfolio Reviews and Interviews announced: May 21st
