SCOD has been established under the aegis of Symbiosis International Educational Centre, which is a Deemed University. Design programs are aimed at creating professionals who can contribute to the highly dynamic and competitive world of Design and Fine Arts. The curriculum at SCOD offers an optimum mix of traditional skills, new media skills (with state of the art software) and soft skills. The approach here is entirely project based. • Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) in Communication Design              70 seats
• Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) in Product Design                          40 seats
• Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) in Fashion Communication            40 seats
• Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) in Fashion Design                          40 seats

Eligibility: H.S.C. (10+2) or equivalent in any stream with minimum 50% marks. 45% for SC/ST candidates. Those who have appeared for standard 12th exams may also apply.

Admission Procedures:

• Register for SET – Symbiosis Entrance Test Register online at www.set-test.org before April 15, 2008 by paying 800/-.
• Simultaneously submit filled up SID application form. Purchase the application over the counter at the institute for cash Rs.1200/- on or before May 3, 2008 OR by sending DD of Rs.1300/- drawn in favour of “Symbiosis Institute of Design” payable at Pune on or before May 2, 2008 OR by paying Rs.1300/- online through credit card at www.set-test.org . OR Download the Application Form , fill up and send it to the institute alongwith payment of Rs.1300/-.
• Send the filled-in application form complete in all respects to Symbiosis Institute of Design on or before May 9, 2008.

• Sale of Application Form for cash begins : March 17, 2008
• Last date for submission of Application forms: May 9, 2008
• SET Test : May 3, 2008
• Declaration of SET Result on SID Website : May 19, 2008
• Studio Test and Personal Interview at SID : June 9 to June 11, 2008
• Declaration of First Merit List : June 14, 2008
• Commencement of Program : July 17, 2008
