No. Entry is free for students and parents. Registration is only so we can plan seating and share the final college list in advance.

Do I need to be an AFD India student to attend?

No. The fair is open to any student considering design or architecture.

Bring your portfolio if you have one, a sketchbook, printed sheets, or work on a laptop or phone. A notebook for admissions details is useful.

Can my parents come with me?

Yes. There is a session built specifically for parents on careers, costs and outcomes in design.

I am in Class 11. Is it too early for me?

Class 11 is the best time to attend. Knowing your target colleges early lets you shape your portfolio and exam preparation around them.

UCEED 2027 registration is now open for students who wish to join B.Design programmes through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design, conducted by IIT Bombay. UCEED 2027 Registration Dates and Deadlines

UCEED 2027 registration began on October 1, 2026. Students applying for the exam should keep the following dates in mind, especially if they plan to submit the form with the regular fee.

UCEED 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Students from any stream can apply for UCEED 2027 if they have passed Class 12 in 2026 or are appearing for the examination in 2027. However, applicants must also meet IIT Bombay’s age and attempt limits, along with the qualifying examination requirements.

Photograph: Taken within the last six months, with your face covering 70 to 80% of the frame, as a JPG.

12th-grade certificate: For students appearing in 2027, the certificate from the principal in the Appendix 1 format, as a PDF.
Additional documents: Category certificate and PwD documents where applicable, plus a gazette notification if your name differs from the one on your certificate, all as PDFs.

Design Specializations

The application form is simpler if you follow the correct order. Understand the sequence below, and keep your documents open on your device so that you do not have to pause midway.

Register with your name, email address, and mobile number, then click the activation link sent to your email within 12 hours.
Log in, verify your mobile number with the OTP, and enter your details.
Fill in your personal, address, and education details.
Choose up to three exam cities in order of preference.
Upload your documents, accept the declaration, pay the fee, and download the completed form.

Details cannot be corrected after payment, so review every entry, especially your name, date of birth, and category, before you pay.

UCEED 2027 Application Fee for Each Category

The fee depends on your category and nationality, and the amounts for this cycle are listed below:

Women of all categories, and SC, ST and PwD candidates: ₹2,000
All other Indian candidates: ₹4,000
Foreign nationals from SAARC countries: US$200
Foreign nationals from non-SAARC countries: US$250

The fee is neither refundable nor transferable. A student who selects the wrong category loses money as well as time, so confirm your category before you reach the payment page.
