Admission Process

NIFT Delhi takes competitive admissions through its national-level entrance exam. It is developed to evaluate the creativity of a student, his or her ability to solve a problem and overall aptitude. Applicants undergo various assessment steps to guarantee that the students who have been selected are fit to meet the requirements of design and fashion studies.

General Ability Test (GAT): In this test, logical reasoning, language skills, quantitative ability and general awareness are evaluated.
Creative Ability Test (CAT): This step determines creativity, imagination and skills in visualising ideas by use of drawing-based questions.
NIFT Situation Test: Applicants are expected to develop a model out of provided materials to demonstrate their practical creativity, work with materials and presentation skills.
Personal Interview and Group Discussion: Such rounds evaluate communication, knowledge ofsubjects, career objectives, and general aptitude for postgraduate study.

Eligibility

Candidates should also qualify in certain academic and age requirements before admission. These aspects make sure that students going into the programmes possess the right educational background to deal with the coursework and practical training in the study of fashion or design.

Basic eligibility:

BDes and BFTech - 10 plus 2 programme completion.
MDes and MFM - bachelor's degree.
Passing the necessary stages of the entrance examination.
